Have multiple years of experience in backcountry skiing or snowboarding. This does not mean you need to be a professional guide, athlete or teacher but must be immersed in the outdoor community.
Must be able to commit to at least one mentorship session per month for the duration of the season.
Must have a desire to see growth in the female outdoor community and see value in creating a safe, supportive space for aspiring backcountry users.
Some additional important information:
Being a mentor isn’t just a one-way street. By being a mentor, you’ll gain a friend and an adventure buddy, test and grow your teaching skills, contribute to the growth of women in the industry, pay it forward from those who aided in your development and even learn from your mentee in return.
All of our mentors will have access to industry discounts from our sponsors (who are yet to be determined) and will be entered into draws to win product and prizes at the beginning of the season.
Each mentor and mentee is insured through the Federation of Mountain Clubs of BC and will be required to sign a waiver. There is no cost associated with being a mentor, aside from your time.
Please give us as much information about yourself as possible. This will help us immensely in finding you a good match.
